Customization & Extension SIG - Charter / Bylaws

Charter

This Special Interest Group (SIG) is a discussion and training panel to address topics relevant to Developers and End Users who create and use Customizations and Extensions for the Oracle E-Business Suite.

The primary focus will be on utilizing Oracle Fusion Middleware (Oracle 11g Forms & Reports, JDeveloper, APEX and Designer) the Custom Library and the OA framework to create Customizations & Extensions for the E-Business Suite Version 12 and 11.5.x.

The SIG was formed in support of the OAUG objectives to promote the formation of Special Interest Groups focused on Oracle Applications for the exchange and dissemination of information. It provides a forum for sharing information and experiences companies have with different solutions.

Bylaws

Customization & Extension SIG Structure

The Customization & Extension SIG shall be made up of its members. This SIG is a volunteer group having no membership dues or paid officers. Members may include licensed users of Oracle Applications, prospective users evaluating, consultants and vendors of products complementary to Oracle. Associated Members may participate as non-voting members.

Management of the Customization & Extension SIG shall include the following:

Chairperson / Coordinator - The group coordinator will be responsible for coordinating activities of the Customization & Extension SIG and will serve as a key contact for the SIG. Solicit guest speakers/presentations for Group meetings. Organize and conduct at least two SIG meetings per year with at least 10 members present. Develop meeting agendas for all Group meetings. Submit Group Affiliation Forms to OAUG annually. Follow and uphold all OAUG Policies and Procedures. Promote OAUG Membership. Maintain Customization & Extension SIG Website.

Co-Chairperson - The Co-Chairperson is responsible for assisting and supporting the Chairperson in all capacities, as well as assuming the responsibilities of the Chairperson if he/she should be unavailable. Organize and conduct at least two SIG meetings per year with at least 10 members present. Develop meeting agendas for all Group meetings. Procure any necessary group membership materials and/or logo branded collateral for distribution to attendees of Group Meetings Encourage volunteer activity and development. Follow and uphold all OAUG Policies and Procedures. Promote OAUG Membership.

Membership Enhancement Committee Chairperson - The Customization & Extension SIG Enhancement Committee Chairperson will: Establish SIG Enhancement procedures and policies. Gather and evaluate all enhancement requests from members. Communicate the status of enhancements to group members. Act as liaison; with the Coordinator, between the Customization and Extension SIG and Oracle Corporation

Members wishing to volunteer for positions in the management of the Customization & Extension SIG will declare their candidacy during the 2nd quarter of the calendar year. Should more than one member volunteer for a position, a vote will be held on OAUG SIG day. All members will be eligible to vote. Should only one candidate exist for each management position, the appointment will be made by acclimation. Term of Management. Management positions shall be for two years.
