Part 2 of Extending the E-Business Suite with JDeveloper and the OA Framework

Brennan Gaunce will present part 2 of his September 2003 OAUG Connection Point presentation on options for customizing Oracle Applications Self Service Pages using the OA Personalization Framework and JDeveloper. Learn more about how the Oracle Personalization Framework uses layered customizations to survive upgrades.

Find out what's new and coming for using JDeveloper to extend your user interface and business logic. We will talk about the overall architecture, including how the new Java technology fits in with the Oracle Internet Application Server releases. Finally, Brennan discuss the benefits and reasons for when to use JDeveloper compared to the OA Personalization Framework.

Brennan Gaunce is a managing partner in Intrava Technologies - making it easier to search, organize, and customize enterprise databases and applications. Brennan was previously at Oracle Corporation for over six years, most recently as Director of Development in Server Technologies, responsible for delivering the Java Application Development Framework for Oracle Applications. He has also served in development management positions for Oracle Forms, Designer, and JDeveloper. Brennan graduated with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1993.

Leveraging the power of the custom.pll to avoid costly customizations (Encore Presentation)

Due to popular demand Paul Brunskow will present an encore demonstration of how companies from different industries are using the custom library to deploy sophisticated business rules to support their unique processes and ensure quality data. Additionally, Paul will teach custom library coding techniques and show a sample Business Rules engine designed for Oracle Applications.

Paul Brunskow is the Vice President of Development at Logical Apps. Logical Apps is a leader in Oracle Business Process Management solutions. Paul was previously an independent consultant focusing on the technical implementations of Oracle Applications. Paul has delivered numerous presentations at OAUG conferences and has instructed on the Oracle developer toolset at the California State University of Fullerton.
